What sort of projects will Renew Wales support?
We will support any type of project as long as it in some way is looking to tackle the causes or impacts of climate change. However, that may not be the primary goal of the group but it must be one of the outcomes.
What types of groups will be eligible for support?
Any type of community group will be eligible for support. For example you could be a rugby club, church group, sewing club, environment group, tenants and residents association or scout group. We want to reach out to as diverse a range of groups as possible. The only criteria is that you are not already a well established group delivering a range of climate change projects.
What should I do if my community wants to take part?
If you want to take part then register your project and create a profile. You will then show up on our map and you will be registered with the project. You then need to contact your local co-ordinator. All their details are in the about us section under co-ordinator profiles.
How much support is available?
Our co-ordinators are able to spend up to 3 days with your group to help you develop an action plan and to help find you relevant support either through existing organisations or through Renew Wales' Peer Mentors.
We are able to offer up to 2 days worth of support from Peer Mentors to each group that completes an action plan to help them take their project forward.
Do I need to put all our contact details in when I register our group?
No you don't have to but we want to use this website as a way of groups sharing information about what they are achieving so that other groups can be inspired, share ideas and learn from one another. Therefore, if you are happy to put some contact details in then we feel it will help this process.
How can I keep up to date with new information about Renew Wales, funding and other news?
We will constantly be updating relevant news and information about funding through the website. You can keep up to date by checking the website. You can also follow us on twitter, facebook and linked in as we will be sharing information through the these as well. If you have any news stories about your groups then please get in touch and we will share them as well.
What should I do if I am not happy with our groups profile or there is an issue with the website?
You can get in touch with the Project Management team by clicking on contact us. We will then try and rectify the problem.
